Blizzard Beach
Once upon a time,
there was a freak snowstorm in Disney World. Disney
built a ski resort, hoping to take advantage of the
snow- which melted not long after. A particularly
adventurous alligator slid down one of the slopes and
into the pool below. And thus, Blizzard Beach was born
(or so the stories say).
This water park is ranked no. 2 in the entire United
States. It's home to numerous attractions for adults and
children alike, with its frosty, snowy theme found
throughout the park- including chair lifts, bobsled and
sledding runs, ski slopes, mountain-climbing stairs,
"melting snow," and more. But despite the chilly
atmosphere, the water stays at a comfortable 80-82
degrees all year.
